Her care was excellent in every way

My mother was looked after by Marilou at Royale Home care managed by Manuel for several years. Her care was excellent in every way ,catering for her physical and personal needs and for her personality. There was a flexibility, sensitivity and genuine caring attitude dealing with what she needed along the way,, with communication, intuition, empathy and understanding .I am very grateful for everything that they did.

We couldn’t fault their attention, kindness, and expertise

We used Royale Homecare Ltd to look after my husband who has MND. We had two wonderful helpers who were there from 9am to 5pm every day. We couldn’t fault their attention, kindness, and expertise. Thank you to Manuel who organised everything. They were so flexible and we would thoroughly recommend Royale Homecare Ltd and will certainly use them again.

My father is well looked after by the two carers

We are very pleased with the care service provided by Royale Homecare Ltd. My father is well looked after by the two carers who alternate in coming once in the morning and once in the evening. I would highly recommend them and Manuel who runs the company.

Anything Dad needed or wanted doing, all of the carers were on hand to assist without hesitation

Royale Homecare have cared for my Dad, who has Motor Neurone Disease, on a temporary basis since September 2019. The care has been brilliant and his primary carers, Marilou, Marzena, Helen and Manuel have all been amazing. Getting carers in was a daunting prospect but thanks to such kind and attentive staff, any concerns we had were put at ease quickly. Anything Dad needed or wanted doing, all of the carers were on hand to assist without hesitation, and this was very reassuring for both my dad and the rest of the family. I would highly recommend Royale Homecare to anyone seeking care.

Funding Privately

Most of our clients fund the cost of their care privately.

We recommend that you seek financial advice about managing your finances so that you can carefully plan how your care funding costs will be met over time.

There are a range of options available to you and you may be surprised by the number of solutions which you could benefit from.

Your family may purchase a certain number of care hours on your behalf to supplement what is funded by your Local Authority
It is possible to self-fund some or all of your care and you may wish to commission your own care using personal resources
We offer a regular invoicing and payment service with an option to pay by Direct Debit or via online payment

Local Authority Funding

Every individual is entitled to have a Care Needs Assessment carried out by their Local Authority. This is typically conducted by an occupational therapist or a social worker. You can also carry out the assessment yourself.

If your local authority determines that you have a care need they will carry out a financial assessment, known as a means test, to determine who should pay for that care. Typically, if you have savings and assets worth over £23,250 then you will be required to meet the cost of the care yourself. Where you are receiving care at home however, the value of your home is disregarded from the means assessment.

If you are entitled to financial support from the Local Authority, then the money can be paid into your ‘personal budget’. This means that you (or somebody nominated on your behalf) can control the money that you receive and decide who provides your care to you

NHS Continuing Health Care Funding

NHS continuing health care funding is available to those who have a disability or complex medical problem which, typically, requires nursing care.

There is no clear cut list of health conditions or disabilities which qualify for funding and all local authorities have different budgets and eligibility criteria. If you believe that you may qualify for funding you should ask your GP or social worker to arrange an assessment.

Unlike Local Authority funding, Continuing Health Care Funding is not meant to be assessed and is based purely on medical need. The value of your assets is therefore not taken into account in the assessment.

If you do qualify for funding then the money that you receive can be paid into your ‘personal budget’ meaning that you have complete control in deciding who provides your care to you.
